The highlights of the new ARC generation are:
- Dissection modes
Extension with the coagulation mode DISSECT for precise control. Low bleeding separation of the layers with low energy input
- WIZARD operator guidance
A dialogue-guided wizard helps to optimally configure the ARC.
- ARC CONTROL and CCS
The new processor technology is future-proof and ensures fast control behaviour through ARC CONTROL regulation and CCS (CUTControlSystem).
- Five ZAP modes
Five presets/sub-programmes can be retrieved from the sterile area. Autonomous, quick adjustment by the operator (output, modes, foot switch).
The new ARC generation with dialogue-guided configuration wizards
User-friendly functions, such as the WIZARD operating guidance and the adaptive display, make day-to-day work much easier in the operating theatre. The dialogue-guided configuration assistant prevents errors from the outset when the instrument is configured. Effects, modes and individual setting options can be selected and adjusted simply at the touch of a finger. For an optimal overview in the operating theatre, the adaptive display changes automatically depending on the number of instruments inserted.Individually storable configurations:
Personal application settings or application modes can be saved and easily retrieved at any time. Up to 300 discipline-specific unit settings can be stored in the programme memory.

COMFORT system of the ARC electrosurgery device
With the BOWA MEDICAL COMFORT system, the new ARC generation has the latest standard in terms of process reliability and ease of use. The COMFORT system provides automatic instrument identification and usage cycle monitoring.Thanks to state-of-the-art RFID technology, the ARC communicates with the BOWA COMFORT instruments. When the COMFORT instrument is plugged in, the specific settings are preselected and the procedure can begin immediately. In addition, the COMFORT SYSTEM counts and documents the number of remaining uses of the instrument and shows this on the display. This puts an end to manually kept tally sheets or tags on cables that are supposed to provide information about the type and scope of the instruments used.
ARC and ERGOact – the perfect system for laparoscopy
In the operating theatre, hands are the most important and effective tool. Working with the foot control is therefore a potential source of danger.With the new ARC generation and ERGOact, the first laparoscopic instrument for bipolar coagulation with hand activation, it is possible to operate without a foot switch for the first time in the instrument class. With this, your concentration is on surgical procedures using your hands. As a result, ERGOact offers extra safety, control and comfort.
