The powerful bipolar BiZZER Mayo shears impress with their particularly sophisticated, curved scissor blade with:

- Non-stick coating for clean operation
- Special surface hardening for a smooth cut
- Fine ceramic coating for a distinctive scissor-like feel

Along with the thin precision tips and the ergonomic finger grip, the shears ensure time-saving, high-precision surgical work without fatigue.

Bipolar electrosurgery for maximum safety

BiZZER Mayo can be used without electricity as a classic instrument or with electrosurgical support. To do this, the bipolar connection cable is connected to a suitable RF generator with a bipolar output. With the help of different connection cables, the strong, bipolar shears can be used with all conventional electrosurgical devices.

The bipolar technology limits the RF current and the coagulation effect to the region between the shear blades, thus offering increased application safety in regions with sensitive structures:
- General surgery: Adhesions
- Visceral surgery: Hemicolectomy, resection of the sigmoid colon
- Urology: Prostatectomy.

Cutting, preparation and coagulating using one surgical instrument

BiZZER Mayo is versatile in use: The bipolar shears are suitable for preparing, cutting and coagulating tissue in various open-surgery disciplines, such as general and abdominal surgery, urology, gynaecology or ENT.

The shears can be used for both extensive and point coagulations. Coagulation before and during cutting is also possible with BiZZER Mayo.

Optional: BiZZER Plug'n Cut COMFORT for maximum operating comfort

The BiZZER COMFORT model has integrated RFID technology for communication between BOWA MEDICAL electrosurgical devices with Plug'n Cut COMFORT instrument recognition, such as the ARC 400. Instrument recognition and preselection of the device settings occurs automatically and are available immediately after connecting the instrument. Plug'n Cut COMFORT combines maximum ease of use with maximum application safety – inefficient or even dangerous settings are avoided from the outset. In addition, BiZZER COMFORT permits seamless monitoring of the usage cycles on ARC 350 and ARC 400 generators.
