A wide range of standard electrosurgical programmes and indication-oriented setting options are available to enable the surgical team to operate without losing much time. With the ARC 400 and BOWA MEDICAL LIGATION instruments for open and laparoscopic procedures, large lumen veins, arteries and tissue bundles up to 7 mm in diameter can be permanently and safely closed.

Therefore, in addition to the numerous indication-dependent presets, the unit offers the possibility to optimise the default values according to your personal experience. Save up to 300 personal favourite settings and retrieve them easily from the favourites menu at the touch of a finger. The ZAP mode can be used to select two independent socket settings for an instrument and switch between them in a sterile setting. This function can be activated separately for each socket in the socket configuration menu.

With the ARC 400, you can concentrate fully on your work in the operating theatre. This is because the operation of the device is completely intuitive. All device functions are controlled at the touch of a finger via the interactive touch pad. Effects, favourites and individual setting options can be selected clearly and easily using the clearly arranged symbols. For an optimal overview, the menu nesting is limited to only two levels.The logically structured user interface of the large, high-resolution display ensures a clear assignment of operation and instrument. For this purpose, the display is divided into four quadrants. Each quadrant corresponds to one of the four lateral sockets. If you assign an instrument to a socket, the corresponding quadrant is activated and you immediately know where to adjust your settings. Activated parameters are outlined in green and the socket border of the instrument to be set starts flashing. This ensures maximum process safety and maximum ease of use in electrosurgery, even in a darkened working environment.

The display consists of a flat, smudge-resistant, impact- and scratch-resistant safety glass. Joints and recesses are avoided thanks to the touch pad technology. This ensures quick and hygienic cleaning in the operating theatre.
Service & maintenance:
The ARC systems are software-based and can therefore be updated or upgraded. Simple maintenance work, such as reading out device information or installing software updates, can even be carried out by the hospital technician.
Unique COMFORT function for Plug’n Play and monitoring of the usage cycles
The BOWA COMFORT SYSTEM puts an end to manually kept tally sheets or tags on cables that are supposed to provide information about the type and scope of the instruments used. Every ARC 400 is equipped with the COMFORT SYSTEM and thus the latest standard in terms of process reliability and ease of use. Thanks to state-of-the-art RFID technology, BOWA ARC 400 communicates with the BOWA COMFORT instruments.The COMFORT instrument is automatically identified by the generator's Plug'n'Cut COMFORT function when plugged in. The specific settings of the instrument are preselected and the procedure can begin immediately. Incorrect settings are safely avoided. In addition, the COMFORT SYSTEM counts and documents the number of remaining uses of the instrument and shows this on the display. This is the perfect basis for 100% clean instruments and quality management.

Argon assisted electrosurgery with the optionally available BOWA MEDICAL ARC PLUS will win you over with non-contact work on large areas with diffuse bleeding as well as fine dosage on sensitive structures. The argon support enables the simplest application through reliable ignition and at the same time offers high perforation protection through low power settings.Further optional special functions:
